PTFE V-ring sets are composed of a male and a female component pressing each other and a various number of “V” profile rings in between them, the number of rings depending on operating conditions. V-rings provide sealing without any need for modification and maintenance. As a result of their low coefficient of friction and self lubrication, PTFE rings do not stick onto surfaces, are not blocked, prevent wearing out of axles and shafts. They reduce power loss keeping the initial motion to a minimum. At high pressures and temperatures, V-rings of compounded Efalon^®(PTFE) should be preferred.
